How We Operate

The way we operate is done to not only to help provide the best service we possibly can, but also to protect you the customer!

Here is where you learn more about our policies as well as the step by step process of calling us out and moving forward with our provided services!

Our Call Out Fee:

As a policy, our company will charge a $75 call out fee for a consultation with simple diagnostics if necessary. At the end of this consultation you will be provided with at least one quote for the work to be preformed. If the quote is accepted and signed, then the call out fee will be waived and you will only owe what was presented on the quote when the work is complete. More complex issues that require more in depth diagnostics may require its own quote before a quote is given for repair.

-If the quote is signed during the day of consultation and the work is initiated the same day, the $75 will not be billed
-If the quote is signed during the day of consultation and work is scheduled for a different day, the $75 will not be billed
-If the quote is not signed, we will have to bill the $75 upon completion of our consultation. If you are to call us back on a later date to preform the work. We will reimburse the $75 via a discount on the final bill upon completion of the work

Diagnosis

At Finch’s HVAC & Plumbing, our goal is to identify the cause of the problem, rather than simply treating the symptoms. We pride ourselves with our systematic approach to troubleshooting and will evaluate the equipment before recommending repairs. That being said, some simple work will need to be done to make a thorough diagnosis and on occasion will require the use of materials which you are responsible for. A good example of this would be refrigerant adjustments. They are used as part of a complete diagnostic process to help accurately identify the root cause of the system’s failure. These adjustments will be used as a last measure; however, refrigerant adjustments performed as part of the diagnostic process may be a separate cost from the call out fee or quote and is subject to change based on however much is added to meet the manufacture’s specified operating conditions. Any refrigerant added (or other material used for diagnostics) will always be documented and explained to the customer before proceeding.

Quote Approval:

As a policy, we require that at least one quote be signed before any changes, alterations, or repairs are made. It is assumed that you are agreeing to us touching your plumbing or HVAC system when you call us out to make diagnostics before the quote is signed. This in place to protect you the customer, as well as us. Some work may need to take place to make a proper diagnosis. If its extensive, we will provide a quote just for diagnostics. For any other simple work before quote approval, you may be subject to any material that might need to be used. We explain this more in the next segment.

-Quotes are valid for 30 days after the date it was provided if you so decide that you want to proceed with the work

Warranty:

As a standard, we provide all the work we do with a one year warranty. This includes faulty installation, manufacture defects, and wear and tare.

-Though our warranty covers manufacture defects, it is important to understand that it covers the repair/replacement labor and material of the work we preformed and will not cover the replacement or repair of any damage as a result of the manufacture defect
-We reserve out right to revoke warranty from work to be preformed due to customer provided/requested material to be used, we will always disclose this on all quotes before they they are signed and work commenced

Insurance:

We will not collect any payment through any insurance. If insurance is to be involved, it is company policy that we collect from the customer and they be compensated by the insurance company if covered by their policy after the fact
